Make a Difference
at Niger's Hôpital National de Niamey

Hôpital National de Niamey, a Nigerien government hospital, is a crowded, busy center where the staff work nonstop, faced with overwhelming need day in and day out.
Waiting rooms fill up, and the sick spill out into the foyer and outside onto the sidewalk as people wait to be seen by a nurse or doctor. The staff are faithful to serve, month after month, year after year, receiving patients from all over Niger.
Like most medical facilities in Niger, 90+ % of the patients can be classified as low-income and with limited funds for medical care and transportation. The staff treat people for malaria, typhoid, cancer, and countless other maladies.
Your donation means access to treatment for the sick and vulnerable who make the journey to Niamey hoping to survive.
This specific Project C.U.R.E. container is bringing supplies for the cancer treatment facility, children’s ward, and emergency department, as these are the departments most in need. One of the fundamental needs identified during the visit to this center was beds for an expansion as well as to replace some older beds.
There simply aren’t enough beds for patients who need to be admitted to receive care.
