Accessing health and hope in the Fizi Territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo
The people of the Fizi Territory in Kivu Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo are completely cut off from local health resources.
They have no roads leading to their village and have more than 15,000 people living in that area. When healthcare is desperately needed, they have to walk 40 kilometers (nearly a marathon!) to the nearest health clinic. That is while they are already sick, weak, and hurting.
The people of this community have come together to create a health clinic, but they need our help to outfit the clinic with supplies and equipment. There is no gift too small to help the people of this community have access to healthcare. They deserve it.
