About The Addae Family Foundation
The Addae Family Foundation is a family-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to
creating generational impact through education, community development, and capacity
building in Ghana. Founded in 2022, our work is grounded in a deep respect for local
knowledge, community leadership, and the belief that meaningful change occurs when
communities shape the solutions that affect their lives.
We operate programs in Ghana’s Volta Region, including the Mama Agudze II Reading
Program, which provides culturally relevant early literacy support to young children, and the
Empowered Scholars Program, a cohort-based scholarship and mentorship initiative for firstgeneration college students. The Volta Healthcare Campaign marks the launch of our
healthcare pillar, a natural extension of our mission to strengthen the systems that
communities depend on across generations.
Why This. Why Now.
Anfoega Catholic Hospital is a healthcare facility in Ghana’s Volta Region that has served its community for over 65 years. It sits between the two towns where the foundation’s founders were raised. Today, that hospital (and the nine smaller clinics surrounding it) operates without the equipment and supplies its patients need. Beds are nearly obsolete. Maternal care tools do not meet standards. Diagnostic supplies run short. Staff do their best with what they have. We are going to change that.
“This hospital sits between the towns where my parents were raised. It is where this community has turned for generations. Now it is our turn to give back.”
10 Facilities, One Community
Anfoega Catholic Hospital is the anchor, but this campaign reaches further. The shipment is designed to support a network of 10 health facilities across the North Dayi District, including community health centers and CHPS (Community-based Health Planning and Services) posts that serve the most remote villages in the region.
The May 2026 Needs Assessment will visit each of these facilities in person, documenting their specific needs and ensuring the container is packed with precision, not assumptions.
