We are raising $35,000 to ship a container of vital medical supplies and equipment from the USA to Kigoma. These supplies are essential to begin operating the Victoria Hospital Medical Foundation in Tanzania and to deliver life-saving care to those who need it most. Kigoma faces critical healthcare challenges, including one of the highest maternal death rates in Tanzania and limited access to essential medical services. This project aims to improve healthcare access for thousands of vulnerable individuals and families.
The Vision
The Victoria Hospital Medical Foundation, Tanzania—founded by Rashidi Sumaili—is working in partnership with Project C.U.R.E. to equip its new clinic in Kigoma, Tanzania.
The vision is to establish a fully functional medical facility offering services including maternal and child healthcare, emergency care, diagnostic imaging, dialysis, laboratory services, and more. Now, Rashidi and his team are leading a life-changing initiative: the Victoria Hospital Medical Foundation Tanzania.
Thanks to the generosity of partners in Australia and the United States—including Rotary Australia World Community Service, Medical Pantry, the Centre for Optimism, GV. Health-Shepparton, Cabrini Health, ComputerTech Support, Gouge Linen, German and Services, and Epworth HealthCare -- the first building has already been constructed.
